Title: International Students: Addressing Barriers to Successful Transition (Center Brief)

Description: As an increasing number of international students are coming to the U.S., greater attention is needed to addressing barriers to successful transitions. While many of these students are able to capitalize on available transition programs and on their personal coping abilities, too many experience predictable and preventable problems. This report highlights international student trends, common transition problems, and the nature and scope of transition supports that policy makers need to ensure are in place for all who come to the U.S. in pursuit of an education.
